What is required to learn how to PADI SCUBA Dive on SV Sunsational?
The PADI SCUBA Diving system is composed of modules with standardized learning objectives divided into theory and practical skills development. Theory is mainly conveyed by self-study, using books or online. Confirmation of the student diver’s level and knowledge is carried out by our PADI SCUBA Diving Instructor. Practical skills are obtained through training in shallow warm Caribbean waters and performance evaluations in open water. Upon completion of your PADI SCUBA Diving course, a certification will be issued and you will experience a diver’s baptism!

The PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver online course
The theoretical PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver Course can be done online and will take approximately 6-10 hours to complete. It provides the knowledge you need. Or you’ll have to visit nearby PADI SCUBA Diving center to complete your book training, get a physicians certificate over your health conditions, a referral letter from your PADI SCUBA Diving center and bring all this along to SV Sunsational. You then learn and master each of the required skills in swimming pool-like conditions before moving on and with our PADI SCUBA Diving Instructor. To be certified as a PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver, you need to be at least 12 years old, fit for diving, and able to swim. You will have to successfully complete a minimum of four open water training dives with our PADI SCUBA Diving Instructor.
PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver Certification costs
As a PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver, you will be a certified entry-level diver, able to rent dive gear, get air tanks filled and dive anywhere in the world in better or similar conditions to those you’ve trained in. The PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver referral Course on-board SV Sunsational is US$375. This fee covers your knowledge development training. You may want to purchase later your personal mask, snorkel, pair of fins and other personal dive equipment. SV Sunsational includes all the dive equipment suited to your needs. You’ll also need a PADI SCUBA Diving Open Water Diver manual, recreational dive planner and a log book. Contact us for all of these things and to find out the total course cost.
Bubble Maker the PADI SCUBA Diving for children
The Bubble Maker experience! What a great way during your Family Cruising Vacation to introduce children to scuba PADI SCUBA Diving in pool-like shallow, warm Caribbean waters! Let your children blow their first underwater bubbles! It’s fun, easy and safe. Courses start from only U$50. Youngsters can join in the family fun of PADI SCUBA Diving, children should be comfortable in the water, but they don’t have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 meters (6 feet). Typical sessions last about an hour (gear up and fun included). Also available as an open water experience (2 meters max. depth) kids get a chance to learn; experience what PADI SCUBA Diving is like, under the direct care and supervision of our PADI SCUBA Diving Instructor. Watch them take their first breath underwater with Bubble Makers! Children use basic gear, which is made for their size and stature. They will be getting a cool PADI SCUBA Diving pouch with stickers and of course a real certificate!
